No. The mellif compact router includes a built-in battery management and protection system that helps prevent over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits. When the battery reaches a low-voltage threshold, the system automatically stops operation to help protect your Makita batteries and maximize their lifespan.
Will the router slow down under heavy loads? Can it handle hardwood?
No. The brushless motor is designed to maintain stable speed under load, delivering smooth and consistent performance even during demanding woodworking tasks. With speeds up to 28,000 RPM and adjustable speed control, it can handle a variety of materials, including hardwood, plywood, and other common woodworking applications. Will wood chips fly everywhere? Can I connect it to a vacuum?

What does the 5-year warranty cover?

The warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear parts, such as blades, brushes, filters, seals, or other consumable components that naturally wear out during use. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications is also not covered.
