Is your cordless stick water pump not working as expected? Don't worry—most issues can be identified by the LED indicator and solved in just a few simple steps.

1. The Pump Won't Start

Before assuming the pump is faulty, check the following:

  • Make sure the battery is fully inserted.
  • Ensure the filter is installed correctly.
  • Check that all wire connections are secure.
  • Turn the pump off and restart it.

If the LED is blinking, use the guide below to identify the cause.

2. Understanding the LED Blink Codes

LED Blinks Meaning Recommended Action
1 Overcurrent Restart the pump. If the issue continues, contact customer support.
2 Undervoltage Recharge or replace the battery.
3 Overvoltage Use a compatible battery.
4 Stall Protection Check the pump for sand, gravel, or other debris. Clean the filter and pump before restarting.
5 MOSFET Overheating Turn off the pump and allow it to cool before restarting.
6 Commutation Error Restart the pump. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
7 Phase Missing on Startup Contact our support team.
8 Battery Connected Before Switch Was Off Turn the switch off before connecting the battery, then reconnect the battery and restart the pump.
9 Hardware Overcurrent Stop using the pump and contact customer support.
10 Offset Error Restart the pump. If the issue continues, contact customer support.
11 Dry-Run Detected Make sure the intake pipe is fully submerged before starting the pump. Never run the pump dry.
12 Water Temperature Too High Allow the pump to cool before using it again.

3. Stall Protection

If the LED flashes 4 times, the pump's stall protection has been activated.

This usually happens when the impeller cannot rotate freely because of:

  • Sand
  • Gravel
  • Leaves
  • Dirt
  • Other small debris

Simply remove the filter, clean the pump thoroughly, reassemble it, and test again.

4. Startup Phase Error

If the LED flashes 7 times, it indicates a startup phase error.

Please contact our support team with your order number, details of the issue, and shipping address. We will offer a proper solution.

5. Low Water Flow

If the pump is running but the flow is weak:

  • Check whether the hose is clogged or damaged.
  • Clean the filter.
  • Flush the hose if necessary.

Keeping the filter clean helps maintain the best pumping performance.

6. Never Run the Pump Dry

The pump includes dry-run protection to help protect the motor.

Always make sure the intake pipe is fully submerged before turning the pump on. Running the pump without water may trigger the 11-blink warning and cause the pump to shut down automatically.
