FAQs

Will this tire inflator damage my Makita batteries?

No. The mellif 7p tire inflator includes a built-in battery management and protection system that helps prevent over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits. When the battery reaches a low-voltage threshold, the system automatically stops operation to help protect your Makita batteries and maximize their lifespan.

How long does it take to inflate a tire? Will it slow down when inflating multiple tires?

This cordless inflator can inflate a standard car tire from 0 to 35 PSI in about 3 minutes under normal conditions. Inflation time may vary depending on tire size, starting pressure, and battery capacity. When inflating multiple tires continuously, the motor may warm up and performance can vary slightly; allowing short breaks helps maintain optimal performance and extend the tool’s lifespan.

Is it loud? Is it easy to use? Can I use it at night?

Designed for convenient everyday use, this cordless inflator features simple controls that make operation quick and easy. The built-in LED light provides visibility in dark environments, making it ideal for roadside emergencies or nighttime inflation. Like most portable air compressors, it produces some operating noise during inflation, but it is designed for efficient and user-friendly performance.

Can it inflate car, SUV, and truck tires? What is the maximum PSI?

Yes, this cordless inflator is designed for inflating car tires, SUV tires, motorcycle tires, bicycles, and other inflatables. It provides high-pressure inflation for everyday needs, with a maximum pressure of [XX PSI]. For larger truck tires, inflation performance may vary depending on tire size and required pressure.

Why does the inflator sometimes keep running after reaching the set pressure?

The inflator automatically stops when it reaches the preset pressure. However, the display only shows the pressure in whole numbers, while the actual pressure may include decimal values that are not visible on the screen. For example, when set to 35 PSI, the actual pressure may be slightly below or above 35 PSI before the auto shut-off is triggered. This is normal and helps maintain accurate inflation.

What does the 5-year warranty cover?

Our 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This includes issues such as motor failures, electrical component defects, and product malfunctions caused by manufacturing problems.

The warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear parts, such as blades, brushes, filters, seals, or other consumable components that naturally wear out during use. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications is also not covered.
