Q1: What is the difference between Mellif grey, green, and red batteries?

The color indicates compatibility. They are not interchangeable.

  • Grey battery: for Mellif tools compatible with DeWalt batteries

  • Green battery: for Mellif tools compatible with Makita batteries

  • Red battery: included only with some Mellif tools compatible with Milwaukee batteries (not sold separately)

Q2: Can Mellif batteries be charged with original brand chargers (DeWalt / Makita / Milwaukee)?

No. Mellif batteries must be charged with the matching Mellif charger only.

Q3: Can the new Mellif grey charger charge original DeWalt batteries?
Yes. The new version of the Mellif grey charger can charge original DeWalt batteries.
The old version cannot.

Q4: Can original DeWalt chargers charge Mellif batteries?
No. Mellif batteries cannot be charged by original DeWalt chargers.

Q5: What do the indicator lights on the new Mellif grey charger mean?

  • Standby: right green light stays on

  • Charging: right green light flashes

  • Fully charged: right green light stays on

  • Battery over-temperature: left red light stays on

  • Battery voltage too low: left red light flashes

Q6: How long should a Mellif battery be charged?
Typically 60–90 minutes

Q7: Does Mellif sell batteries or chargers separately?
No. Mellif does not sell batteries or chargers separately. Only sets of batteries and chargers are available.

Q8: What is important for battery maintenance?
Do not overcharge the battery.
Do not leave the battery unused for long periods without recharging.
Regular charging helps maintain battery lifespan.
