After Each Use

  • Clean the Unit:
Remove grass clippings, soil, and debris from the blades, tines, and underside using a brush or compressed air.

  • Inspect Tines or Blades:
Check for bending, breakage, or wear. Replace any damaged or excessively worn parts.

  • Check Fasteners:
Ensure all screws, nuts, and knobs are tightened securely. Retighten as needed.

  • Battery Care (for cordless models):
Remove the battery after use. Clean the contacts with a dry cloth and store the battery in a cool, dry place.

Regular Maintenance (Monthly or Seasonal)

  • Lubricate Moving Parts:
Lightly oil pivot points, shafts, or other moving components with machine oil or spray lubricant.

  • Inspect Bearings or Belts (if applicable):
Look for signs of wear, misalignment, or slippage. Replace or adjust as necessary.

  • Sharpen or Replace Blades:
If equipped with scarifier blades, inspect them for dullness or damage. Sharpen or replace as needed.

 Off-Season Storage

  • Thorough Cleaning and Drying:
Clean the machine completely, especially around the blade area. Make sure it's dry to prevent rust.

  • Fold or Disassemble (if applicable):
Fold the handle or remove parts to save space and avoid damage during storage.

  • Proper Storage Location:
Store in a dry, ventilated area away from direct sunlight, moisture, and pests.

  • Battery Storage (cordless models):
Store separately in a dry, room-temperature location. Maintain a partial charge (40%–60%) for longevity.
