No. The mellif water pump includes a built-in battery management and protection system that helps prevent over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits. When the battery reaches a low-voltage threshold, the system automatically stops operation to help protect your Makita batteries and maximize their lifespan.
Can it quickly drain a hot tub, pool cover, or rain barrel?
Yes. With a 1/4 HP (180W) brushless motor delivering up to 9 GPM (540 GPH), this pump quickly transfers water from hot tubs, pool covers, rain barrels, water tanks, and other containers, helping you finish draining jobs in less time.

What does the 5-year warranty cover?
Our 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This includes issues such as motor failures, electrical component defects, and product malfunctions caused by manufacturing problems.
The warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear parts, such as blades, brushes, filters, seals, or other consumable components that naturally wear out during use. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications is also not covered.
