FAQs

Will this glue gun damage my Makita batteries?

No. The glue gun includes a built-in battery management and protection system that helps prevent over-discharge, over-current, and short circuits. When the battery reaches a low-voltage threshold, the system automatically stops operation to help protect your Makita batteries and maximize their lifespan.

What size glue sticks does it use? Are replacement glue sticks easy to find?

This cordless glue gun uses 0.43" (11 mm) all-purpose glue sticks, a common size that is widely available. Replacement glue sticks can be easily purchased from many online and local stores, so you can quickly restock for future DIY projects, crafts, and repairs.

Does it drip glue when not in use? Is the temperature stable? Will the glue melt evenly?

The glue gun is designed for stable and reliable performance with a copper insulated nozzle and PTC heating technology, helping maintain consistent temperature and smooth glue melting. The balanced design allows the glue gun to stand upright safely when placed down, helping reduce unwanted dripping.

For the best results, allow the glue gun to fully preheat before use and keep it upright when not in operation. This helps ensure even glue flow and better bonding performance.

How long does it take to heat up? Is it suitable for quick repairs? Is the heating stable?

The glue gun heats up in approximately 3–5 minutes with advanced PTC heating technology, so you can quickly start your projects without long waiting times. The stable heating system helps maintain consistent glue melting performance, making it suitable for quick repairs, DIY projects, crafts, and everyday household fixes.

Is there any cord limitation? Can I use it outdoors? Is it heavy?

This cordless glue gun is powered by a DEWALT 20V battery, so there is no need for a power cord or outlet. You can easily use it indoors, outdoors, or in areas without access to electricity. Its cordless design provides better mobility, while the balanced and ergonomic body makes it comfortable to handle during extended projects. (Battery not included.)
