When the battery reaches a low-voltage threshold, the system automatically stops operation to help protect your DeWalt batteries and maximize their lifespan.
Will it leave swirl marks? Is it safe for beginners? How does a dual-action polisher compare to a rotary polisher?
This dual-action (DA) polisher is designed to help produce smooth, swirl-free finishes while reducing the risk of damaging your paint. The random orbital motion distributes polishing action more evenly than a rotary polisher, making it much more forgiving and easier to control.
Compared with a rotary polisher, a DA polisher is generally the safer choice for beginners, as it's less likely to create swirl marks, holograms, or burn through the paint when used correctly. Combined with the 6-speed variable control, you can easily match the speed to the task, whether you're applying wax, polishing, or correcting light paint imperfections.

What is the difference between the 15 mm and 21 mm orbit? Which one is more efficient and better for beginners?
The 15 mm orbit provides a balanced combination of cutting power and control, making it a great all-around choice for most users. It is easier to control and is especially suitable for beginners, daily polishing, waxing, and paint finishing.
The 21 mm backing plate creates a larger polishing movement, allowing you to cover more surface area and improve efficiency on larger panels, such as vehicle hoods, roofs, and doors. However, it requires slightly more control due to the larger orbit.
For beginners, we recommend starting with the 15 mm orbit for easier handling and safer results. Experienced users looking for faster coverage on larger areas may prefer the 21 mm option.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
Our 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This includes issues such as motor failures, electrical component defects, and product malfunctions caused by manufacturing problems.
The warranty does not cover normal wear-and-tear parts, such as blades, brushes, filters, seals, or other consumable components that naturally wear out during use. Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or unauthorized modifications is also not covered.
